Wabash Elementary

L.H. Carpenter is at the forefront of early education development.  We have achieved Level 3 in the state's rating system - Paths to Quality. Our rich curriculum will teach to the needs of each child, keeping in mind the different abilities and learning capabilities to ensure each child will reach their fullest potential.

We offer several  preschool options including 3 year old preschool, Young Learners 3 and 4 year olds,  Little Apaches preschool and Dual Immersion preschool. Kindergarten is an exciting year full of hands-on activities and new experiences. We also offer dual language immersion Kindergarten.

OJ Neighbours Elementary houses 1st-4th grade students in an inclusive and highly engaging environment.  OJN's mission is to provide a safe environment for all students to learn at their level with relevant and rigorous curricular opportunities to prepare them for the next level of their education on their path to college and career readiness. Our dual language immersion program challenges students to become bilingual and biliterate during their educational journey. OJN strives to provide a safe environment that enables all students to be successful learners in a culture which celebrates diversity, promotes a positive mindset, and creates an inclusive atmosphere where all students will become lifelong, well-rounded learners.  OJN's high ability program expands the learning environment for students who need new academic challenges. Our staff is committed to being faithful stewards who work in a collaborative manner in order to educate the whole child with fidelity both academically and socially and remain advocates for our students as they continue in their journey beyond their time at Wabash City Schools.

Wabash Secondary

Wabash Middle School includes grades 5-8 with 5th and 6th on one floor and 7th and 8th on another. Our highly qualified staff prioritizes a rigorous curriculum while developing genuine relationships with students. WMS provides accelerated academic plans allowing students to earn high school credits in middle school. In addition to our rigorous core curriculum, we offer STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), computer science, industrial technology, and several arts-based classes.

There are many student clubs and activities to keep students engaged and connected to their peers. WMS offers many athletic opportunities that other small schools can't offer such as soccer, softball, and swimming.

Since it was established in 1869, Wabash High School has been dedicated to making sure our students are prepared for success in the global community. Wabash Early College High School was the thirteenth high school in Indiana to be endorsed by the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL) as an early college. We strive to be creative and innovative in our instruction while engaging students in their learning through a variety of relevant and rigorous activities, applications of technology, and 21st Century skills.

We strongly believe in the "3 E's" for our graduates. Every student graduating from Wabash High School will be Employable at a living wage, Enlisted in the military, or Enrolled in some form of post-secondary education. To achieve this, we utilize a number of different programs like intentional 4-year planning conferences with all freshmen and their families and placing students with an advisory teacher that they have through all 4 years. Our personal attention and course offerings are unmatched in our area!
