From the Director of Special Education
Wabash City Schools is dedicated to providing services to meet the individual needs of students identified with disabilities. We are continually learning about evidence based practices in disability areas and evaluating current practices and programming for improvement. As a result, Wabash City Schools continues to meet the state compliance standards for Indicators 4a, 4b, 9, 10, 11, 12, and 13. I am proud of the accomplishments of the students and staff of Wabash City Schools!

Building Level Services

It is our practice to first consider providing special education services in the general education setting.
-
As a result, each building is staffed with licensed special education teachers and trained support staff to provide services outlined in each student’s IEP.

WCS’s school age students with disabilities are served through programs in the buildings of OJ Neighbours, Wabash Middle School, and Wabash High School.
Shared Services
WCS, in collaboration with Manchester Community Schools, MSD of Wabash County, North Miami Community Schools and Peru Community Schools, form the Wabash Miami Area Program Cooperative. Services provided through the cooperative include:
