ParentSquare
Wabash City Schools is excited to be using ParentSquare for all school-to-home communications (aside from transportation). We will use ParentSquare to announce delays and cancellations, but that is just the beginning! In the past, we used School Messenger to announce delays and cancellations to parents and guardians, as well as many community partners and citizens who wanted to know when WCS had a delay or cancellation. Those individuals and organizations who were on our call list will need to register with ParentSquare and join our group called "WCS Community Alerts (Non-guardians)".
For non-guardian/parents who would like to receive alerts about delays, cancellations, or other critical alerts, click the button below and sign up for our WCS Community Alerts (Non-guardians) group. Again, this is for folks that DO NOT have a student at Wabash City Schools. All parents, guardians, and staff are already signed up for alerts about delays and cancellations. For detailed explanation of all the steps, click this tutorial. This is a self managing system, WCS staff won't be adding or removing community members. When you want to stop receiving weather notifications, simply leave the group.
Basic overview of ParentSquare for Parents and Guardians
Teachers will be able to send direct messages to families about classroom activities and parents and guardians will be able to respond. We will be able to securely send documents such as report cards, test results, and permission slips.
Get Started With ParentSquare
Before you get started, make sure the school has the correct email and mobile number in Skyward. This is how the initial invite will be sent. Then, download the ParentSquare app on iOS (iPhone) or Android and follow the steps below.

ParentSquare Tips
Now that you are signed up, there are some important features that you should know. Everyone gets tired of countless emails, texts, and messages, but with ParentSquare, you can control almost all of the communications sent from your school. When you choose "Digest", you will only get one email at the end of the day with all of the relevant posts and messages for your student(s).
