Aventura DLI Summer Camp
Aventura is open to both dual language students and non-dual language students with no prior Spanish language required.
Come join the fun with engaging, age-appropriate dual language summer activities! From outdoor games to weekly field trips, this day camp is packed full of exciting adventures for campers going into Pre-K* to 4th grade in the 2024-2025 school year.
*Campers must be potty trained.
Aventura is open to both dual language students and non-dual language students with no prior Spanish language required. Our program has been developed to accommodate both half day and full day camp options.
Each one-week session is led by our outstanding staff and partners. Daily camp fun is delivered at OJ Neighbours Elementary located at 1545 North Wabash Street, Wabash, IN 46992.
Campers are welcome to join for one or both available sessions; yet, registration is limited.

*Aventura Summer Camp will follow the same Health and Safety protocols as listed with Wabash City School district. All Summer Camp families are expected to adhere to the directives of applicable local, state and federal government health departments.

Drop Off and Pick Up
Campers can be dropped off and picked up to 30 minutes prior to the start of camp or 30 minutes post the end of camp.
Typical Day at WCS Aventura Summer Camp
8:20 AM - Arrive at OJ Neighbours Elementary 8:30 AM - Camp begins Spanish ice breaker activity Spanish small groups/camp activities Snack (provided) 11:30 AM - Lunch (provided) 12:10 PM - After lunch dance party! 12:25 PM - Large group play activity, athletic play, and/or field trip Snack (provided) 3:30 PM - Campers depart
Field Trips
The students will participate in a weekly out-of-town field trip and in-town field trip. Parents are encouraged to join the out-of-town field trip. Bus spacing will determine if parents can ride along or will need to drive separately.
Packing List

Your camper will be given an Aventura Summer Camp t-shirt during their week of camp. We ask that your camper wears this t-shirt on Thursday for the out-of-town field trip.

Each week, there will be a water day! The majority of the activities will include water; thus, we ask that parents provide a swimsuit, beach towel, and an extra set of clothing at the beginning of each week.

As the majority of the camp will be held outside, please use sunscreen on your child before coming to camp each day. We will have extra sunscreen on hand, if needed.

Be sure to send your camper with a water bottle each day!
Price Per One-Week Session
Aventura offers two different week-long sessions (May 28-31 and June 3-7). Campers can sign up for 1 or 2 weeks. We also offer 1/2 day or full day options for each week-long session. Pricing includes daily lunch and snacks. Scholarships are based on enrollment. For information, please email Mrs. Delgadillo at delgadillos@apaches.k12.in.us.

Payment and Registration
You can register for the camp by clicking the button below or this link to the registration form. Payment is due no later than the Friday prior to your camper’s week at Aventura. Parents can submit payments to OJ Neighbours prior to school ending, or anytime to the Central Office located at 189 W. Market Street. Acceptable forms or payment:
