Canvas is our Learning Management System (LMS) for our students 3-12. As our implementation expands, our hope is to have all assignments and announcements on this platform to easily communicate with students and parents. Parents can access this by having your student give parents/guardians a "pairing code". Once generated, the code is good for 7 days. Parents then use that code and create a login using this link. That link will lead you to the page you see below. Parents will click the link that the green arrow is pointing to and create their account. After it's created they will login here.

 

 

Teacher can create a pairing code, but so can students. Below are the steps for students to create a pairing code for their parents. 

 

 

After parents click the link above, they will see the screen below. Fill out the information and use the "pairing code" your student has provided. Parents can you an Internet browser or the Canvas Parent app--regardless, their username/password will be the same. *Note there are 3 Canvas apps--Student, Teacher, and Parent. 

 

 

Once parents are in and paired with their student(s), they can set their notifications. I've attached 3 documents below. One shows how a student creates or finds the pairing code. Another document is a step-by-step guide for parents to login with a computer, and the final document is short instructions on logging into the Canvas App.
