Governor’s Executive Order 20-37 requiring face coverings relating to school corporations
Clarification from the Indiana School Board Association
Teachers and students may take off masks if a 6 foot distance can be achieved; otherwise, grades 3rd through 12 must wear a face covering or face shield in school. Face shields can be worn in place of cloth face coverings.
Ages 2 through 8 are not required to wear masks, but still highly encouraged. Face coverings are not required at recess as long as social distancing can be achieved.
Everyone on the bus must wear the face covering or face shield regardless of social distancing.
During extracurriculars & co-curriculars face coverings are excused during strenuous activity but when not competing, masks are required if social distancing cannot be achieved.
Online Classes Option
Wabash City Schools announced in June we are providing an online-class option for all students K-12. Surveys of parent and guardians showed a significant number who wanted an online option for their student(s) in the fall. WCS created online courses staffed by our credentialed teachers to meet that need. Parents signed up for online classes during online registration in Skyward. Parents and guardians can contact building offices to discuss this option. See our Online Classes page of our website and/or page 4 of the Re-entry Plan below for more details or contact your student's building office.

What is considered "Direct Exposure" or "Direct Contact" with COVID-19?
Contacts are identified as all students or staff who spent greater than 15 minutes within 6 feet of the positive student/staff in the 48 hours prior to the positive student/staff’s symptom onset until the date of isolation, or, if the positive student/staff is asymptomatic, the 48 hours prior to collection of the positive specimen until the date of isolation.
