Today, Wabash City Schools concluded the 2016-2017 school year. On behalf of the Wabash City Schools Board of School Trustees and our administration, I want to thank everyone for their support of our schools and our students. Over the course of this year, we have experienced tremendous student growth and have reinvested in our programming.
Dual Language Immersion: O.J. Neighbours Elementary is one of only 20 elementary schools across the entire state to offer a Spanish Dual Language Immersion program. Starting in 2017-2018, OJ kindergarten students will have the unique opportunity to learn half the day in English and half the day in Spanish.
Project Lead the Way: Wabash City Schools now has curriculum that supports computer science, engineering, and biomedical science from Kindergarten to Wabash High School.
Wabash Early HS & Early College Programming: WMS students have opportunities to take high school coursework to prepare them for college work in high school. Wabash High School students have the opportunity to earn a 30 college credit hour certificate toward the first year of college transferable to any state college/university.
Again, Wabash City Schools recognizes that we need our students and our families to create these opportunities. We thank you for being a part of the Wabash Apache family and we remain committed to providing more opportunities as we look forward to the 2017-2018 school year. If you have any questions, please feel free to email us or contact our central office at 260-563-2151.
Thank you and have a safe and productive summer!
Jason Callahan, Ed.S.
